Congratulation to Erik & Katey on their first child - Jude Michael, born Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 6:22pm, at 8 pounds!

Both parents are Yoga students and this is a Yoga baby! They were yet practicing Yoga with me up to a couple of weeks before he was born. What a blessing he is!

It has been a month since I last posted on this blog. I must say it's good to come back to it! The past several months and especially past several weeks have been very interesting regarding my studio - Soul Motivation.

We are yet in progress of getting ready to open hopefully around the middle of November.

I will keep you posted.

I wanted to share today something I'm learning more and more . . . We make our world better each time we acknowledge that all things are working for our benefit, including the people we encounter.

Learn how to draw from the positive aspects around you. As you do you will experience an understanding that will increase your growth to new levels and will prove as opportunities to your happiness and satisfaction.

Make every moment count as you appreciate all the things you encounter, knowing that it will have and make such an impact in your life that will last and put you in position to help others too!

There are times that I have been in such a need, wondering what I was going to do in certain situations when suddenly I would hear a Word from God or a scripture down on the inside of me.

Then, immediately I would know exactly what the answer was to my situation. At that very moment I was helped by the Word of God that was dwelling on the inside of me.

I'm saying all of the above to encourage you to keep your prayer life, reading the Word life fresh and new each day with God. Don't get so busy doing so many other things that you neglect the time with Him.

Ten year ago today I was an Oracle DBA. My life changed, took a 180 degree turn because of it.

I knew there was something on the inside of me that could change other's eternal destiny. My current job was not it.

I made a decision I was going to make a difference with others - no matter what. I'm now doing what I'm called to do, have not looked back.

Ok, many, many things have occurred since last I wrote an entry. My laptop crashed twice and could not be repaired. Yep! I ended up purchasing a MacBook and now I'm back!

The studio is progressing, we have finished the design stage, now making sure odds and ends will be taken care of. Looking to sign the lease within a week or week and a half. Then, construction will start. Yes!

Yes, it has been a while since I last wrote a blog . . .

Many things have occurred since the last blog and they are all good. I'm now living in Dallas, about 5 minutes from where Soul Motivation Yoga studio will be located. I also have been meeting with teachers and staff that will join me at the studio when it opens. A very exciting time!

Just a reminder, there will be circumstances that come into our lives, no matter how challenging, we can trust God that we are ready for them. With His strength, direction, guidance we don't have to fear, but know that He is there for and with us - connecting us to where we are supposed to be.:)

If you are feeling run down, bored, with no energy to do what you are currently doing with your life, you are probably not doing what you are called to do.

Take time to become quiet, see what is in your spirit, your heart. It may take a prayer / meditation time, reading the Word - to gain the clarity you need. From personal experience, it will be worth the effort, time and wait!

As you get the clear direction on what you are to do, don't ask for others opinion on what God has revealed to you. When you truly know what you are to do - just do it. By this, you are honoring God.

Then, take note on how you are feeling. You will no longer feel run down, bored and you will have all the energy you need and more to do those things! Yes, I'm writing from experience. :)

It is not an accident that I'm practicing and teaching Yoga at this point in my life! The same for you too - no accident that you are doing what you are currently doing!

But, this is not the end, for you nor for me. There are many greater things we are to do in this life and more people we are to "speak" into their lives.

There are times I wish I could just ask someone to give me answers to the situations I'm dealing with. But, that would be the easy way out?

Really? Yes, because if others give me answers to my problems, etc., I may enjoy success for a while, but then another situation will come along because I will still be making the same incorrect choice.

So, I came to the conclusion I had to buckle down and do my own praying and asking God for His direction on my situations, etc. As I became discipline to start searching out the things of God, I got permanent answers.

In doing this I also learn how to make adjustments in my life that keeps me looking to Him (God) for everything and every answer!

There will always be opportunities for me to share encouraging words to individuals. I know this is one of the gifts God has placed in my life. I trust God for His wisdom in guidance and direction.

There will be days in many lives that circumstances, situations, conditions, etc. will not make sense and their mind will be begin to "play tricks" with them, telling them lies.

Those days will present me opportunities to share the good news . . .

God love them,
He has a master plan for their lives,
They are to trust Him to see them through this time in their lives.

As I am drawing near to opening up Soul Motivation Yoga Studio I will begin to share more of what this studio is about in my blogs . . .

The Yoga I teach is about helping people focus their intentions on their spirit, soul (mind) and body and pretty much in this order.

The Yoga I teach from my point of view will completely transform (change) you (if you allow it) from the inside / out.

Of course, you will have to visit and take class (or a few) with me to understand what I wrote above. Many have experienced some type of awaking, knowing, feeling of hope, love, peace and rest from taking only one class with me.

Meditation will be part of the change from the inside / out.

From personal experience it seems like it's easier not to forgive people and simply cut them out of our lives.

In some cases this might be the correct thing to do, yet even in that case, we can only be free if we have truly forgiven them.

Again, from personal experience choosing to forgive people is making a choice to rid myself of that burden, choosing to be free of the past, and choosing to live and walk in love in the present.

I have more than 37 years of proof that God has never let me down. He has never disappointed me one time. God has answered all my prayers because I learned to pray according to His will.

God has been my Source all these year. And, not only has He met my needs, He has blessed me and given me the ability to be in a position to help meet the needs of other until they discover Him as their Source.

Consider this as I have, God who is the Source is greater than your dreams, your hopes, your thoughts and your needs. It does not matter what is going on around you. You have a Source that is with you. Depend on Him!

We can talk love all day long, but when people hear us speak, can they hear love? When people look into our eyes when they feel like they have failed in areas of their lives, can they see the love of God in our eyes?

The bigger question is can people that once knew us in a previous life-style see changes that God has made in us? When we open our mouths, act and react to situations, can they see God?

Well, they should if we say He (God) lives in us! They should see a change. They should sense His presence. They should see, feel, experience and enjoy the love of God just by being around us.

From personal experience, if they do, then, His love will draw them not only to you in a deeper way, but draw them to Him. That is what it is all about - allowing God to love others through us - drawing them to Him.

By the way, God's commands us to love, we don't have a choice. At least I don't. :)

Crossroads Community Services (CCS) is an urban outreach of First United Methodist Church of Dallas which began in 2001.

Their mission is the prevention of homelessness by providing sustained, tangible support to families in need. CCS distributes food and clothing to help mitigate the downward spiral of poverty. They also teach the skills and discipline for an individual to sustain well-being.

For me praying is what keeps me in tune and connected with God. I have no lasting success without His guidance.

My praying on a daily basis includes while I'm driving, exercising and even teaching. Just praying on a daily basis has changed my life and affairs.

Also, I don't wait until some big problem comes along to pray, I learned to pray without ceasing so that my life has a constant demonstration of God's goodness, favor, and love. As I continue this path, it helps to keep out and prevent incoming fear and despair.

You too, can start today or tonight - praying while you work and praying while you rest.

Keep The Dream Alive!

Soul Motivation Yoga studio was birthed over 2 years ago. It became a dream that I believe God placed in my heart. I didn't allow the dream or desire to die down or out - well maybe die down some. :)

The fire became strong again the first of January 2011. The pursuing was then on! I didn't settle and now the reality of the dream is coming about - what God placed there some time ago.

The key to keeping your dreams alive is standing strong in your faith, believing God and that He has not forgotten what He promised.

We we commit and stay faithful to the promises of God for our lives, it will not be long before we see the fulfillment come truth.

I could not do and can not do what I'm doing if I didn't have the love of God residing on the inside of me.

I can talk all day, but until you experience God's love on a individual level you really can't relate to what I'm saying. Because of God's love on the inside of me I can face challenges in confidence knowing that Love has the situation under control.

Yes, God's love gives you the ability, the might, the power to overcome situations or problems that come your way. Love will have you look at the matter through the eyes of Love - God.

If you are not experiencing this type of love, ask God right now to fill you up with His love. In so doing, you will begin to give up every area of your life to Him - for His love to start the change.

I must admit (as I generally do) I'm a blessed individual. I am constantly thanking God for all who He is in my life.

Daily I take inventory on what is going on inside of me. I seek within to see if I'm at peace, am I holding onto offenses from others, have I lost the trust in people that I once trusted and finally does my heart and actions/reactions go hand and hand together?

At the end of the matter whatever I find in the inventory and if it's not agreeing with the Word of God, I immediately ask God to help me by faith to change so I can continue to please Him!

God is too good for me to keep anything in my heart that is not pleasing to Him. Love has everything to do with it.

There will come a time in your life that you need to slow down, stop and listen to what God is saying. God mainly from personal experience speaks in a whisper.

If order for me to hear His whispers I had to disconnect myself from being such a busy bee (so to speak).

Once I made the decision to slow down or stop completely I begin to hear clearly the whispers of God. Yes, it took time, but more of a commitment from me to move away from the fast-moving world around me.

To my surprise when I did this the first words I heard from God was "Joseph, I love you." Just these four words changed my life!

We have waited patiently and eagerly. We did get discouraged, but we are not now, we are no longer sitting around discouraged but we are hopeful, positive and full of expectancy to fulfill the will of God!

Soul Motivation Yoga studio is a story of God's favor and love for me and those attending classes, events, etc. there. He is the one that has accelerated this process!

This studio is a faith project and I believe God can do anything. All it takes is for you to stay faithful and one day you will be where He wants you to be!

There will be challenges to get you disappointed and try to set you back and some criticism from so-call friends and family. Yet, this is not the time to get discouraged, but use it to push your forward!

I can not imagine spending any part of my day and not finding time to take a few moments to commune with God. My life will never be that busy!

Experiencing time with God simply means taking time each day to be alone and sometimes quiet in His presence. God should be the center of all our lives.

There are days that my schedule is very busy and the thought of finding time to be still, quiet and listen can be exhausting. But, it is during these times that I need to be in God's presence the most.

When I do take the time, it is such a joy to be in God's presence and I want to spend more time with Him because He is the center of my life!

There will be times in your life that you "miss it" when it comes to making decisions or choices in life. Whatever the decisions or choices were does not in my opinion mean you didn't hear God's voice on this. You just didn't take the time necessary to hear it clearly.

But, even in this, and because of God's amazing love for us, there is yet a way out. You might not be sure how and what the answer is, but as I have done in the past, you simply ask for forgiveness, ask God to help you with this situation and by faith believe He will see you through it with expectations beyond what you could ever possibly imagine.

Love ones, God will comfort you, take care of you, keep you from falling, keep you moving forward in His Master Plan for your life as you acknowledge Him. Yep, I speak from experience. :)

Everything seems to be moving fast in my life and probably yours too. It seems like we woke up one morning and there it was - God's touch is on everything we do.

Personally, it seem to me like what took maybe years in the past is now only taking months, weeks, days and even hours. I see God moving me into a place that I can minister quickly to individual hurting emotionally (spiritually) to the point where they don't have to go through a 3, 7, 10 or 12 step program.

Yes, I see God moving me, you, us faster and further than we ever imagine. He is working in our lives. His Master Plan for our lives is now unfolding right before our very eyes. Don't resist, just embrace it, trust Him and let it flow. :)

The past several days I have been challenged with relationships. Relationships are very important to me, especially the individuals in the very small circle I'm connected too.

One of the challenge was to stand firm on my communication on a certain subject. The subject was also relationships. My firm stand as I communicated was to always act, live and walk in love. Offense will come, but it is our choice to receive it or not.

I know God wants us all to maintain a love connection and live in peace with everyone. From personal experience, sometimes maintaining the love connection and living in peace has to be from a distance for a while.

I suggested to pray for their relationships. As they do, something not only happens to the individual they are praying for, but something happens to them. This is how I see God working most of the time.

In conclusion my suggestion was to pray for them, help them anyway they could if possible. God could and would then be able to appear on the scene.

We must keep our spirits open to receive and not allow offense to come.

From personal experience with knowing others and doing this myself, God can take an average person and move them into a position(s) where some of the major leaders in the community will inspire to be around them.

Theses individuals (average people) can and have changed their communities, their companies and their world!

Choose today to make God your Source of lifestyle. Yes, studying, attending school, etc. can help you become a leader. However, with your choice also focusing on God and His Master Plan for your life is way more effective!

Take the extra moments to pay close attention to hear what God is calling you to do!

I have said this many times in class and wrote about it in my blog. I believe it may need repeating. :) Where ever you are today in your life is where you need to be.

However, where you are today in your life is not where you are suppose to stay! In God, we move forward, not staying still, nor moving backward. In God, there is only increase, blessings and favor.

Today, get or re-get the vision of God's Master Plan for you life. Keep it in front of your thoughts, words, etc. Take it by faith. Then, one day it will be a reality. Yes, I talk (write) from personal experience. This works! :)

It took me a while to get here. But, now that I'm here, no turning back! I am continuing to become rooted and grounded in love - the love of God.

Everything I see, hear and do becomes based on love. And as I continue to plant God's love commandment deep into my heart and my thinking, I have discovered new ways to keep this commandment. :)

For several year when I would wake up, I use to rush out of bed, rush to eat, rush to get ready, rush to get out of the house, and the list goes on and on for the day. Those were the days I actually left home in a state of fear and unhappiness which in turn caused a handicap for me.

One day after spending time in my car almost begging God for help in areas of my life, I heard on the inside I needed to start my day off with God, in prayer, in meditation, in listening to what He has to say.

In summary, now I leave home in poise and peace. I spend time in prayer, reading, meditation or just one-on-one communication with God. I do all of this before I eat. I do all of this the minute I get out of bed and before anything else.

Let me suggest you try this too. For example, pray over your family and leave them with God's favor ringing in their ears. Let them know you love them too! Try this and see what happens.

For me the teachings of Jesus Christ is a way of life. I can not deny them and follow my own rule and way. No, I take His teaching which was of LOVE.

By Jesus' own acts, He gave the world the map for individual and world peace and salvation. I have accepted His doctrine as a way of life. In doing so my life has changed.

The main focus or theme I got from Jesus and I use is "loving one another as He loved us." If we faithfully practice this, we all will find peace within ourselves and within the entire world.

Yesterday I was teaching class and saw a student by the look on her face had travel to the future. I went up to her, saw her becoming overwhelmed (it was not the Yoga pose she was performing - she had it down pretty good) looked her in they eyes, and invited her back to the present!

The present is all we really have. The past - we can't do anything about it and the future will take care of itself. The student immediately "Thanked me" for bringing her back." :) Much love,

I look at part of my responsibility as a Yoga instructor is to push and encourage students attending classes I teach to be the best they can be! Many even come back later and tell me they appreciate the push, encouragement and advice.

On a personal level I learned many things the hard way. I even heard many say "they had to learn the hard way, so should I." That may have some merit to it, but I prefer to not see others struggle as I did. :)

So, whenever I can and whatever I can do to help them get to the next level in their lives I'm going to do it! I see it as an investment in their lives and in the Kingdom of God! It's all about love - so shall it be!

Many students attending Yoga classes I teach come for several reasons, including stress relief, relief from some type of body pain, just to name a couple. However, most ended up experiencing a spiritual awaking that they were unaware of.

Now comes the part of their Yoga practice that reflects their inner being which brings up questions surrounding who they are, their purpose in life, again, just to name a couple.

I tell students when they come into the spiritual experience or awaking in this part of their Yoga practice, they now don't have a choice but to deal with the experience.

I point them to the "Word." I point them to God. I point them to spending time in meditation. I also suggest them to practice Yoga (with me) as much as they can. There is so much I'm not able to put here in this blog about this subject and experience.

I can only say that the Yoga I teach is spiritual, emotional and physical. God is spirit, mind and body. Yoga can and will bring you close to God. Yoga can help bring you closer to being "whole," nothing broken and nothing missing.

Yes, today is the day I celebrate Easter. This is what the love of God is all about and for all to witness. He sent His Son Jesus, who died for us and rose again. The victory was won!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

And, because of this, we now experience the fullness of God's blessing, grace and love!

I often tell my sons how much I love them, appreciate them and proud of them. I'm thankful that I learned as a parent early on to not push my agenda, ideas, or thoughts of what type of job they should have, etc.

I wanted them to live their own lives and make their own decisions. I trust God regarding their decisions too. I know I along with their mother raised them in the fear and knowledge of God. There is no doubt that God has a calling and purpose for each of them individually to do.

We, as parents are to be happy knowing that we taught our children the correct path to follow. If they don't follow the path exactly, don't worry, have faith they will come back. :)

One major thing you can do for your children is pray God's will over their lives. Believing in faith that God has everything under control. In doing this you as the parent will find peace and rest for your soul! :)

First thing I do each morning when I get up is to acknowledge God. Starting each morning grounded for the new day along with deepening my relationship with God.

I run into many people who do the opposite. They start their day rushing, not being grounded and end up having most of the time a challenging day, from start to finish.

From personal experience, when I start my day off with God and welcome Him into my day, it gives me the opportunity to clear whatever happen the day or night before and start fresh. I know this sounds pretty simple, but it is just that. Try it and maybe let me know how your day turns out. :)

The evidence of my obedience and dedication to God is the love I have for others. It doesn't matter who they are. It is the true, pure, unfailing love of God manifesting itself in one's life that sets them apart from other people.

It was a revelation to me, walking in love and forgiveness toward others. In doing this I experience such a great and mighty power of God that His Spirit just flows on the inside of me. :)

Today, how about you making the quality decision today to commit yourself to obeying God, walking in love and forgiveness toward all. From personal experience, if you do, you will never be the same.

There are days that seem more challenging then others and even to the point of being overwhelming. Here is the time when you don't feel your way through the challenges, but you stand on what you know which is Faith and patience.

You must remind yourself that you have been down this path before. Maybe not the same situation, etc., but you have been down it. And, when you look back at what happen, you see that God saw you through and His promises were true!

From personal experience you have to press your way through all of the challenges, putting and keeping your eyes on the promises of God that He will get you through this! As I was telling my oldest son - Jeffrey just the other day, you have to grab hold of a bull-dog faith. Don't let go!

More and more I understand that it is so important for me to know that God knows how to bring me out of trouble. Really, there is nothing God doesn’t know how to handle.

My major part is to pray and invite God into the situation. I must trust Him, putting my entire life in His hands! On the other side, fear and doubt which is the opposite of God will hinder and stop me from receiving God's help.

Several individuals have asked what will happen if I don't raise the necessary funding for Soul Motivation Yoga studio to open. My answer? God has everything under control! :)

From personal experience, whatever I need today, tomorrow and the next day, God is my source. He is my supplier. I have seen Soul Motivation Yoga studio open for business. I have accessed it by faith.

I'm not trying to figure it out in my natural mind how everything is going to come together. I just know that God is going to get the credit for it happening! I believe, therefore, I receive.

There have been times in my life that I felt I was so alone in all that I was doing. In fact, I felt like what I was doing had no importance. One day, I mentioned this to my oldest son Jeff. Yep, twenty something years younger, he said Dad, you are never alone, don't ever say that!

He then went on to comment more on several things that made me think, rethink and get a new prospective on my comments.

In that short conversation with my son, I rediscover the abilities I had that affected and impacted so many lives. I was not alone. And, from our conversation, I discover and gain an awareness of new exciting things that would enable me to be of more service to others.

The Source to all of this was and is God. With Him, I'm never alone. It brought about a time and opportunity to reconnect with God and others and experience a new energy like never before.

I have seen many, many students come to class with the day-to-day pressures of life written all over their face. What is unique to the classes I teach is I adapt to what I'm sensing or hearing from God regarding how to serve, minister to that particular class.

During class I may speak to or about the unnecessary stress the students are carrying around. I may speak to how to hand these things over to God, not to lose sleep over things or people.

Then, towards the end of class, I let them know that God will see them through all things as they give them to Him. God wants them (and me) to live a full life of peace, joy, happiness and love!

When class is over, they (the students) leave with smiles on their face. It's all about serving, loving and sharing Him!

I'm reminded at times I need to be mindful when I'm dealing with someone I think is not where they suppose to be certain situations.

I have to consider them, consider what they are going through. If I don't know what they are going through, then I need to do one of two thing: find out of be quiet!

If I'm walking in love as I preach all the time that I am, then I must not hurt someone's feeling in the name of being right. The presence of God is not involved in that at all!

Love, as a matter of fact, goes out of the way to see to it that people are not hurt. In other words, love not does not cause hurt! Something to think about?

Just a quick note on forgiveness . . .

I learned in order for me to forgive others as God forgives me will require an act of faith on my part. Yep, I can not do it on my own natural ability. It is a supernatural ability where I use my faith on purpose for the love of God to come in and totally erase the incident from my consciousness.

Again, this is not something I nor you can do on our on. We have to make a quality decision to forgive - an act of our will. The going about doing this actually will free you and the other party involved from unforgivensess and strife.

So, today, forgive, get free and free them too!

In every class I tell student to not mirror themselves or try to compete with others in the class. I tell them they are where they are suppose to be in their practice. They are wonderfully unique in their own way and as they continue their Yoga practice, they will see just how truly unique they really are!

I give them permission (they really already have it - I just remind them) to take the time to appreciate where they are in their practice (off the mat too). I also tell them I'm proud to be their teacher at this time in their lives.

In saying simple words of encouragement and love, I see the students become secure about themselves, their Yoga practice and they in turn find a practice that is strong, stable and full of His love.

There was a song out several years ago titled "What's Love Got To Do With It?" Everything from my point of view!

Because I found out in order for me to be successful and blessed, spirit, mind and body - I have to walk in LOVE! Yes, love is the primary key to my success - your success!

I must remind myself daily the blessings of God that comes from walking in love. I'm willing to encounter pressure or aggravation and in return not to become fretful or resentful. The cost is too great - not being able to experience supranational revelation, etc.

Yep, I will walk in love at all costs. It is a life style, a commandment from God, not an option!

From personal experience, when I'm not walking (living) in victory, I always go back to see how is my love walk going with people. I do an inventory on the inside to see if there is someone I'm harboring unforgiveness towards or may have spoken to someone - not in love. Yep, these things will be cause for you not living or walking in victory as you could!

In the conclusion of the matter it really comes down to if I keep an open connection and fellowship with God, I will walk in victory! I will walk in forgiveness. I will speak words of kindness and of love to others at all times.

God is continually speaking or whispering to us. It is very important for you and I to keep our hearts open to hear His voice. As we do this, failure if a thing of the past. Yep, I'm talking from experience!

From personal experience, it is not the long prayers, but it is believing God that gets the answers! Yet, there are also times when I have to be persistent in my prayers. What I mean by persistent in my prayers is laying hold on what I first prayed with faith!

Yes, there have been times when I had to just lay hold of God by faith and stay before Him by faith regarding my prayers, and staying through the darkness and through what I called the valley of it, until my faith in God penetrated and the prayers were answered!

Many times, I have been in challenging situations, wondering what I was going to do when at that very moment I would hear a whisper down on the inside of me.

Then, at that very moment, I would know exactly what the answer to my situation was. That whisper was the voice of God speaking to me! That whisper of a voice was what helped me at that very moment.

When you have a close relationship with God, you can hear Him speaking to you. Today, let God live in you and you in Him.

From personal experience, God can make you look bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to increase your influence, your ability, your skills and your finances.

Don't try to figure it all out. If you do, you will just mess it up (yep, talking from experience again). All you need to do is trust Him. Each day wake up expecting God’s far and beyond favor in and upon your life. Then you’re see God show up and make up any difference in every area of your life!

To add to this, without great men and women around me, life and the mission (ministry) God has given me would be challenging and very lonely. Thank you for all you do!

Soul Motivation is not something that happen over night. It has been in the making going on toward 2 years. It felt right to start moving toward the physical reality of opening the studio the second quarter of 2011 (my goal, desire, wish). I know it's time!

The almost 2 years in the making allowed me to dream of a new life and was an opportunity for me to discover my true purpose in life at this time.

I have no doubt that all that I'm going through is moving me toward a deeper level of LOVE - His love! And, I trust God to be my guide toward the dream!

There should be a joy that is on the inside of you that is the most empowering truths there is! No matter what circumstances or challenges that come your way, you are yet joyful.

This joy that I'm talking about is a "knowing or truth" that you can not obtain from the world. It is spiritual and can only be gotten from have a relationship with God.

This joy is not a superficial good feeling that is triggered by circumstances such as romantic moments, receiving a raise on your job or even the birth of your child. This joy is there always, regardless of what is going on around you.

I'm about bringing healing to students attending classes I teach. My teaching is not about providing a small amount of healing and protection for those hurting. I'm not about approaching this with the idea that this should be someone else' responsibility. If a student is hurting, the class I teach should be a safe and healing place for them to receive!

I see Soul Motivation working together with the community as a unit to bring about healing. Part of the strategy is to become a vital part of life in the community, not just a place for people to "visit," but truly to be a healing place for a hurting world. Soul Motivation want to be involved, to be part of the cure, and to be a resource!

I came to the understanding that what is not love is fear! And, I found that every negative emotion I experience derives from fear not love.

When I allow myself to feel fear, my judgment undergoes an extraordinary transformation, which is not good. When this happens, I have no power (spiritual) to service people. I can not communicate with them in a meaningful way.

Yes, fear brings this on and can bring on more harm if you don't release it and step back into love. Yep, I'm speaking from experience!

The moment we stop moving toward God - we always start drifting away.

I try to keep my attention focus of God as much as possible. I had to make a decision to do this. I now surround myself with His Word.

I listen to preaching and teaching audio via my Iphone while I'm getting dressed, driving to appointments, preparing meals, exercising, and when I go to bed just to name a few. I listen to the Word of God anytime and anywhere!

It has made sure a huge difference in my life! Something you might want to try?:)

Again, one of my goals/desires for the students attending Yoga classes I teach is to teach them to reach out to others. I want them to understand that the classes I teach are a safe place for them and have them relay this information to others.

From personal experience with talking and counseling with people, in times of crisis, their minds usually goes blank, and whatever is in their heart comes out.

When you have been in relationship only with the world, fear will come out. If you have been relationship with God, faith will be your first response.

We need the ability to stay strong and steady both in our everyday life and when challenges arise.

The good news is when we are joined together with God, that living connection will make all the difference (it has in my life). Instead of depending on me (Joseph), I can truly say "I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength!"

There are days that I am challenged in many areas of my life. These are the days I have to make a choice. Is God, God all the time? Or is He just God when everything is going well and there are no challenges in my life?

No! God is God at all time, in all places, under all circumstances - good or bad! Something I have to remind myself of at times.

If I lean to my own understanding, I lose sight of the fact that God is still God. From person experience I just have to keep right on going with God, no matter what happens and challenges I face!

Walking in love is about allowing God to live and shine through you in all situations and at all time. However, there will be opportunities that you will have to maybe walk in love as you keep your mouth shut.

You might even have a situation that you are really being blessed in your life (spirit, mind, body, finance). But, your friends (maybe they are not), even some relatives don’t celebrate in your being blessed.

I really don't like using this word, but will - jealous. Your friends and even relatives it seems they become jealous of the blessings that is happening in your life.

So, here is a great opportunity to walk in the love of God and let Him shine through you! Do not get caught up in taking on offense or getting an attitude toward them because of what they say or act.

Instead, continue your love walk and give the credit to God for the blessing you are receiving. Do not allow darkness to come into your spirit. Do not speak any words of criticism toward others whatsoever.

Let them see God in you. Let them see why you are blessed. Because you yet love them in spite of what they are saying and doing towards you.

It's time to to give God all the credit, glory and honor of the blessings that we experience. As we do this, God is smiling and will continue to bestow His blessing upon us. Oh yea, look for His promotions too. Look for doors to become wide open that no man can close!:)

There will be times in your life that everything looks bleak and everyone says what you are trying to do is impossible. All this might be true if you look at it through the nature eye - being humanly impossible.

But, for as I'm concern, I no longer say "It can not be done." I no longer say "This is an impossible situation." I say "Yes, humanly this is impossible, but the power of God is my strength. The power of God is my source! If God said I can do it, then I can do it."

Yep, I want to encourage you to believe God and to stand in His power - to receive what belongs to you through the power of God. I am standing and moving forward in His power. Want to join me?:)

I have found living for God is a daily journey. There are days that things happen instantly and other days things happen progressively.

But, I do know that God will transform you inside and out. And you will find that, in the midst of this changing world, He is now - and always will be - your Source!

As I am about to end the writing of this blog, I felt a desire to include this prayer for you to say, "Lord, I want to be transformed, inside and out. I want to do the things you want me to do. Just tell me what it is. By faith in You, I know I can do it!"

Looking at the situations that is going on in our local, national and international community has taken its toll on many.

I have noticed that when I talk to some individuals about spiritual things such as faith - faith in God, they look at me right in the face with a blank expressions. They act as if they don't hear a word I'm saying. It is like I am not speaking to them at all.

But, if I change the subject and start talking about the local or world events I get an immediate response.

It seems like it is easy to hear about troubles, despair, etc. These things are all around us. But, personally I do not surround myself with the world's bad news. I do not watch TV nor read the newspaper.

However, I do make is a point to surround myself with God's Word and what He is doing. What God is doing is more than what darkness is doing! The key I have found is to respond to God's Word regarding all circumstances, not be in fear, worry or anxiety.

Through God's Word is where we draw strength!

I know I have a calling on my life to minister to all those that attend the Yoga classes I teach. There are days I use words and there are days I allow the presence of Love to just over shallow the students.

Yes, it is not by my ability, but by God's ability I'm able to do what I do. He is the one that has open doors. With this calling there is no room for me giving up. Yes, I'm unyielding and uncompromising. I'm holding fast no matter what happens.

I have said this many, many times, I'm not allowing any to get away. When they come to any class I teach, they will experience the presence of Love. Yes, doors have been open and more will too - for this to happen.

I see walls coming down in the lives of students. I see an increase of Love coming into their lives like they have never experienced before! It will come to pass!

I will succeed in this calling.

Walking in the love of God is the same (to me) as walking in the blessing of God. The blessing of God will hunt you down, be waiting for you when you get where you are going!

The blessing will over take you in every area of your life which includes spirit, mind and body (the whole person). Yep, I speak from experience.

Side note: If you are really walking in love, you will forget past hurts and mistakes. And when someone asks you for forgiveness, you forgive and you let it go! Yep, again I speak from experience.

From personal experience after personal experience God has been with me to deliver me in times of trouble when I called on Him for help.

I had to have faith to believe that. I had to let Him carry the weights (situation, problem, trouble, etc.) so to speak. I had to quit trying to solve my problems myself. In reality if I could have taken care of the problem I would have already done so.

So, I had to stop worrying and realize that God was on my side! I allowed Him to take care of me. It was and still is God's battle, not mine. All I had and have to do is to take my position, stand firm, and receive His deliverance.

Yep, it is just that simple.

For the past few weeks I have set my phone alarm to go off every 2-3 hours during the day. The alarm is a reminder for me to stop whatever I'm doing and just praise God for a few minutes. Sometimes it is less than a minute.

From my knowledge, praise is the highest type of prayer. And one definition of prayers is fellowshipping with God. So, when we praise God, we are fellowshipping with Him too.

Just by this simple act, my love walk with God has increase and my desire to be in His perfect will for my life has too!

You will experience a greater, deeper move of God in your life when you take the time to praise Him. Yes, I speak from experience.:)

Going into the weekend with constant thoughts that I want not just my own life, but everyone I come into contact with to be filled with the love of God. I believe as leaders (myself included) are falling short if we are satisfied with anything less.

We are not only cheating ourselves, we are cheating everyone we come in contact with when we don't live and walk in the love of God. For when His love and presence is manifested, people changed and their lives are forever altered.

You might say people will not receive God's love because they are just too insensitive. They don't care about God anymore. But, that is not where my faith is.

Yes, many show openly disrespect for God, yet this tells me people are ready for the manifest presence of Him to fill them with His love. It tells me we are ready for His love. I see it coming!

I'm constantly looking for revelations from God that will change my life. I'm always looking for His Divine insights that will take me to new levels of life - the life He has planned for me!

A few months ago, God gave me just such a revelation. It was so vast yet simple and I have been meditating on it ever since.

The revelation was to stay consistent in my love walk - no matter what. Yes, I have been living for God since I found Christ in March 1974. Yet, there have been times that my love walk was not where I wanted it to be!

And, the main reason was that I didn't believe I could nor did I expect God to help me do this. But, now this has all changed. I learned and found out that everything I do, including walking in love with consistency must be done with faith in God. I can't do it by myself.

So, whatever you are doing for God must be done by faith in Him helping you do it, rather than you trying to do it in your own power. Today, lay hold on the promises of God and believe what His Word says "That you can do all things through Christ."

From personal experience when I (use to) judged people, it seem like the presence of God in my life was a million miles away. In reality, because of my judging them God presence was not there (not sure how many miles away.):) So, if God's presence was not in my life, how could I love them?

I learned not to judge. But, to meet each person with a loving and open heart to present to them as a gift! Doing this I didn't have time or didn't allow thoughts of criticism to take root. And, the other thing that happen - fear left.

I have aleady make mention of this, but felt a need to blog about it too.:)

I want to thank Amy Johnson for her wonderful teaching and energy during our first Yoga bootcamp and workshop together. All 40 students attending finished strong, left with no boundaries, no limitations, more rooted and grounded in love.

I also want to give a BIG thank you to Stacey Wetzel, owner of Quick-Cater for a perfect lunch!

Side note: As we become rooted and grounded in love - the love of God, this does not allow darkness the ability to have any place in our lives. Then, comes the ability to live a life free to walk in God's Master Plan for our lives!

Thought For Today - 1/14/2011

Now that we are in the second week of 2011 I would like to suggest you move into this year as being who you really are - being the best you (the best God in you) can be and do the things you really need to do.

Moving and growing into this consciousness you will begin to discover just how powerful you can become when you look to God as the extension of all your strength. Depend on His wisdom, His direction, His truth. Only then will you become convicted, confidence in yourself while removing the fears that held you back in the past.

Let 2011 be the year you begin to fulfill God's truest potential in your life. I'm planning on doing just that!:)

God is always talking to us. Most of the time His Words are whispers. Due to so many of us are busy with life, we may not even realize God is trying to get our attention. I had to become quiet to hear His voice. Sometimes, it's in the still of the night (between 2-4am).

With this being the start of a new year I want to suggest you take the time to hear, listen and write down what God is saying to you. I believe the Words will be what you actually need to sustain your life for 2011.

This Words can also be a reaffirmation of your intention. Just by you hearing, listening and of course obeying will help you establish a relationship with God that you can draw upon for this year and those to follow.

For me I'm seeing 2011 as a year of great peace and rest in Him (God). But, only by me taking the time to get quiet, hear, listen and obey the Words being said.

This week let me suggest you take the time to consider this. Let go or release anything that will keep you from walking in the love of God.

This week, make a decision to walk in the love of God towards others - no matter what! Treat others with the love of God, not your love. Why? Because your love has limits, but God's love does not.:)

Be a blessing to others. See what happens, mainly what happens to you on the inside. I'm determined to walk and live a life of the love of God which is pleasing to Him.

As I do this (you too), only then can we receive THE BLESSING that God has for us!

When we bless others with the gift of His love which is unconditional, instead of allowing circumstances or situations to affect us negatively, we bring a a peace that far passes understanding to a world that needs His love - every day!

I'm here to tell you that your actions can have a measurable impact on the world (people). Be willing to stand up for what you believe in instead of looking the other way!

You have the ability to provide a positive perspective to the world (people) that can provide and promote values and maybe even foster lasting change in their lives.

This year has now started. During some of the Yoga classes I teach I speak of setting an intention for class. Sometimes their (the students) intentions are spiritual, emotional and even physical.

The year of 2011 my intention is to be the perfect will of God. I will strive to live God's perfect will in all the things I do. Whether the things are small or big, I will take hold of God's Word and live my life every day in His perfect will!

Let me urge you to set your 2011 intention. Let God's perfect will be fulfilled in your life in 2011!
