Thought For Today (Personal) 7/31/10

Regardless of whether students stay for the entire class I teach or leave within 5 minutes of the class (to intense I have been told), I want them to understand that both God and I love and believe in them!

The goal of my teaching has always been to demonstrate the love of Jesus, not to make people feel like they now owe it to me to come to class.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/30/10

Here is what I discovered. Each student that attend classes I teach has a family member or friend with needs, ready to be helped. As I serve my way into these student's lives, their world is opened up to me, along with more opportunities to demonstrate the love of God.

The next thing I knew, there were 50 students attending classes I teach, then 75, and the number is still growing. I'm the same, but the classes grew because I am committed to serving people of the classes I teach one by one.

I know now this kind of heart to generously bless others is the perfect catalyst for showing the love of God!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/29/10

With what God has told and commissioned me to do as a Yoga teacher - I know my mission. I have my mandate.

I know there may be some challenges ahead, but I am determined to succeed! Many students that attend classes I teach have given up on God.

I know God has called me to love and help the poor in spirit and the hurting that attend classes I teach. I will not throw in the towel because of challenges.

I will not care about the numbers; I will simply do my part to love and serve the students that attend and leave the growth up to God.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/28/10

I have a clear mission to answer cries of the poor in spirit, the ones hurting emotionally and the forgotten. I am ready to reach out to students in their cities, in their nations, and throughout the world!

I have aimed myself at initiating change, a change by bringing healing to a hurting world and by loving people to God. A simple act of kindness.

I believe if I can lead a Yoga class with a heartbeat to love one another by serving others, something amazing will happen. And, to be totally honest, I have no idea just how far God will take me.

There is no perfect way for anything God calls me to do. But, I'm always exciting to pursue my destiny in Him!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/27/10

My hope is that through my teaching of Yoga, my personal experience with God as an ongoing journey that students attending classes I teach will be awakened to see the world from a new perspective that they will wake up in the morning and say "How can I serve someone in my life today? How can I reach out and love those who I see next door or on the job?"

In my teaching I'm actively pursuing those that feel unloved and forgotten - to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. I will use words if needed!

I will serve and show students the hope that can come only from God. This is serving. I have seen and about to see God touch the lives of students in ways I never dreamed possible!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/26/10

Many times in the classes I teach I cry out to students to take notice of the person coming in a few minutes late and there is no room, but that they will make room.

My words are let's do whatever it takes - no matter if I have to stop the class. We must not turn away anyone! There are times I run out the door to bring students in because they thought no room was available for them in class.

Just as God tells me He love me, He cares about me. But God not only sees me, but beyond me as well. This is how I feel when it comes to teaching Yoga. All students are precious to me! I don't want one to not be able to attend classes I teach.

I may never know how important it was for in that one time room was made for that student that it changed their life inside/out.

God is counting on me to make the difference in the lives of students attending classes I teach.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/25/10

When it comes to teaching Yoga, I will push, inspire and challenge students to be the best they can ever be inside and outside of the class room. And this is what I will do to you and you and you when you come to the classes I teach!

I would like to consider myself maybe somewhat a radical, generous and selfless, Love(God) - minded Yoga instructor. I believe this is what makes me different.

I have been told that my eyes reveal my heart for people. One moment, you can see the passion as I explain how Yoga has made a difference in my life and the lives of the many, many, many students that have come cross my path of teaching.

Then, you might see tears in my eyes as I mention how so many students that come to class - who just need a touch, a hug, from a human being. I am given the privilege to touch and give them a hug. What a blessing!

Much love,
Joseph

Prayer Request

I'm asking for you to pray for the family of a member of a Roller Derby Team in Mesquite.

Once a month, I conduct a Yoga session with the team. I was just informed Thursday that one of their members passed away in her sleep on Tuesday night.

And, please pray for the Roller Derby Team. We are completely shocked and sadden over this!

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Much love,
Joseph

Conversation With Me

The past few days I spend time with individuals who needed my ear. Now that the holidays are upon us - many are experiencing loneliness or their mind goes back to a familiar love which is no longer. One such conversation went as follows. I will try my best to write the words that were stated.

"I felt in love with a woman not too long ago. I’m still in love with her. Our minds became one. Our spirits became one. I knew and understood her body more than any man before or after. Our hearts were pure. We were happy. We were and stayed focus on each other without trying.

If only for one day I could touch, taste, smell, and be in her presence again. The benefit would last. My love for her is absolutely pure, absolutely celibate, absolutely honest
."

In conclusion of our conversation - my advice to him was to release her from his heart. Due to the mere fact they are not together indicates it was not to be. I advised him if he wanted to find the perfect mate for himself, he would need to completely empty, erase, delete his feelings for her.

I also stated he would need to allow God to come into his heart and bring healing. Before he could move forward with the perfect relationship for him - he would need to be healed of his emotional and spiritual connection or any other with her completely.

He agreed. I know you reading this blog may in some way be able to relate to him. So, the advice to him is also for you!

Much love,
Joseph

My Monday (11/24)

I must write about my Monday (11/24). It was great day! I had lunch with a good friend who is also a student of Yoga. We shared things regarding life, including our desires to let people know about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for lunch! (I’m not mentioning the name).

Later on, I received an email from another student of Yoga. Her email just made my day. She commented how she feels and sees the presence of God whenever she is around me. With the day I was having before lunch with the other student – I needed to hear that! It is my desire to let LOVE be KING in my life. And, you can replace the word “LOVE” with “GOD.” Thank you for the email(s). (I’m not mentioning the name.)

Monday night at the 8:15pm class I teach for 24HF – Royal Lane/Central location, I spent around 30 minutes after class talking to two of my favorite Yoga students. We have for the past several classes stayed afterward and practice poses such as scorpion, flying crow, handstand, and forearm handstand. Tonight, they learned side crow and one-legged crow. Afterward, we begin to talk about life and spiritual things. I connected with theses two members long before we met physically. Yes, you heard me right. But, I will not go into this subject in this blog. Nevertheless, we all left with a sense of peace, destiny, and purpose. Thank You both for allowing me to share and you receive. (I’m not mentioning the names).

And after I got home, I received an email from another student of Yoga. She sent me a Thanksgiving ecard. As I watched the card - tears being to form. Thank You for sending this card! (I'm not mentioning the name - but she is a financial advisor if you need one):)

OK, all of the above to say this. After writing the “thought for today for Monday.” My mind was attacked with sadness, judgment, and fear. The grip was tight. I didn't know how in the world I was going to be able to function for today.

For a brief moment, my mind was able to think of how bless I was. How truth always prevails. How God loves me so much. I then begin to feel an overwhelming sense of peace. It was such a vivid force that I was able to move forward and meet the 1pm lunch appointment.

Yes, today was a great day! My soul was touched. I touched someone’s soul.

Much love,
Joseph

More Personal Stuff About Me

There are days when I’m tired, weary, and perplexed. The atmosphere, the people, the experiences just doesn’t do it for me anymore. I ask questions within myself – what in the world am I doing here? I even ask God – OK what is my next assignment?

Yet, deep inside the truth whispers to me – Joseph – you are not finished with your assignments here on earth yet. Truth goes on to say - there is more for me to do and it is so worthwhile!

I don’t apologize for my feeling. I believe it is part of my journey. The feelings I feel can mean I have reach a turning point in my life – a new journey is about to begin.

Truth goes on to tell me to be present to the moment. Don’t look at the past nor try to figure out the future. I have worked through so much. I have come so far. I can’t stop now.

Truth tells me to press through. These are more growing pains, more healing for me, more refinement of myself and allowing God to come forth fully in my life. Truth tells me the past has prepared me for NOW.

In conclusion, truth says I’m about to walk through a new door. My heart is now open. I can see clearly. I know more about the wonders of love. It’s reward time for me. I must keep moving forward – trusting Him for direction.

Now, you know a little more about me.

Much love,
Joseph

My Connection To God

I think when some read the blogs I write - they just don't know what to think about me regarding my relationship with God. I even had one Yoga student tell me she only reads the blogs of the headings that don't have anything to do with God. But, all that I write in reality is connected with God. Some blogs are more direct while others are no so direct.

Ladies and gentlemen, God is my life. Yoga is my life. Yoga has brought me into a closer relationship with God, His Son - Yahshua and the Holy Spirit. Not wanting to know or read about my God in the blogs is saying you don't want to know or read about me. I can't separate myself from my God and my Savior - Yahshua.

Bills paid supernaturally, food provided supernaturally, new clothes given supernaturally, and the list goes on and on and on. God did it! God being in my life has changed my life. For my troubles and problems - He gave me solutions and victory. He brought what I needed into the seen realm of reality.

My healing is in God. My meals are in God. My deliverance from darkness is from God. Yahshua put His life on the line just for me - and you. It is my personal and correct choice for me to serve the God I serve. If want to experience the same things (just a sample few) of what I have written above - you can. You must accept Him as your Savior as I and many, many others have!

Much love,
Joseph

Tuesday Morning Special Note - 10/21/08

I didn't sleep well last night. I got home late from teaching a late class. Stayed up until around 11:30pm. Got up around 2:30am and spend time in prayer. Afterward, went back to bed and before I knew it my alarm went off for me to head to the gym. I mainly do my workouts in early morning (around 5am) due to my work schedule.

However, this morning I didn't head to the gym. I just stayed in bed. I did manage to get up around 6:30am. After being up for a few minutes - the Word of God begin to stir up in me. I so clearly hear in my spirit that I am to ONLY allow a problem or situation 24 hours in my life. The problem or situation has no business staying longer than that.

I am to speak the Word of God to problems or situations and watch them disappear from my life. It doesn't not matter what the problem or situation is - just speak the Word of God to it.

This revelation from God was so powerful to me this morning. I begin to jump up and down in my kitchen - praising God for His Word. His Word was directly to me. However, I'm sharing it with you too! And, yes, there are times I get very excited and emotional about the goodness of God.

So, you learned something else new about Joseph today. I am person who practices, teaches Yoga, lift his hands and voice, jumps up and down as he gives God praise. What a combination. :)

Much love,
Joseph

More About Joseph Stingley - Your Yoga Instructor

I feel I need to clarify a few things here . . .

I am a Christian, ordained minister who practices and teaches Yoga. I am a God fearing, Jesus Christ believing, Holy Spirit filled individual. I enjoy practicing and teaching Yoga to hundreds of students on a weekly basis.

I have not and will never promote Yoga’s religious association, including mantras. I don’t use the Sanskrit language in classes. I do not attend classes that pay tribute to Hindu deities, metaphysical/New Age jargon such as negative and positive energy, divinity within you, focus on the third eye, etc, projection (emptying your mind or stepping outside of your body).

My religious belief is that Jesus gave His life – on the promise of His Father (God) that the world would be saved. I have a personal relationship with Jesus. I know His voice when He speaks to me. I talk to Him daily without fear. I even share my heart with Him honestly. He gives me answers to my questions and much, much more.

I trust this tells you somewhat more about Joseph - your Yoga instructor.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 10/10/08 & Very Personal

Many years ago, God had placed a gift into my life. The gift was being able to experience what individuals were experiencing. It could be from just a handshake. There were times I would drive down streets and freeways – driving through neighborhoods and become overwhelmed with what I experienced. I’m not sure those reading this can relate. But, this was and is real.

The emotions I was experiencing were so strong. I had came to the place in my life that I was actually taking on their experiencing such as grief, depression, sadness, loneliness, hopelessness and helplessness, just to name a few. The problem was I was trying to solve their problems. I begin to draw back from this gift. I would ignore the emotions, block out the experiences. I became cold to what people were going through. The gift was yet there, but I would not let it come forth anymore. My heart and mouth were expressing different things. This went on for years. I mean many years.

Since I started my Yoga practice in 2003, little by little, my heart began to soften. The love and compassion of God begin to peak its’ head out. Within a few years, the gift emerged. That is also when the Yoga classes I teach begin to grow to an overflowing number of students attending. Wow, that was just a revelation to me!

Today, I am a receive of the blessings of God and keeper of His commandment of love! I can and have experienced the hurts, pain, grief, sorrow, loneliness, etc. of many that I know personally and others I don’t know at all. This time around – I give it all to God. He is the fixer – not Joseph.

God loves all mankind. The commandment of love is the key to it all. God has planted me in your mist. I will be the connector if need be for all people to experience the blessing of God – even in our current time when the world system is failing all around us. I will pray and show you how to stand on the promises of God regarding your need.

I love you. I will always love you. Today, I grab a strong grip on the power of God to meet you at your need. I can’t help but love you more than ever!

Much love,
Joseph

Past Love?

A friend told me the other day, he ran across a woman he fell in love with around a year ago. He was not sure if she saw him or not. He didn't go over to speak to her nor she him.

He went onto say, he knew for the brief moment he saw her again - his love for her was as strong as if they had never been apart. He didn't go into details regarding their relationship. But, I could tell just by the tone of his voice - he was yet in love with this woman.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever been in love, but it was the wrong time - the wrong place?

It seems as if life stopped. Fear sat in - saying you're never experience love like this again. Will time take away the fear, the longing, the pain, the sleepless night, the feeling of being overwhelmed?

Healing will come. Embrace it - receive it. Again, healing will come. But only when you are ready to receive.

Your life will continue, quietly growing each moment into something new, something different, something that adds gracefully, wonderfully, and completely to what was.

In your own time, you will be given the ability to take simple steps that lie before you. Take one step at a time. You'll find the ability to love again - one moment at a time.

My friend did state - the love he has for this woman will always have a special place in his heart. And, he wouldn't change a thing regarding the love he experienced with her.

Much love,
Joseph

More Personal Stuff

OK, I have pursued a mate (significant other, whatever you want to name it), because I thought I needed one.

But, here is what I found. Unless God is the major quest of my life, all other quests are dead-end streets, including trying to know myself. They just won't work. They will not and have not satisfied me. They have not resulted in making me complete. They will not do for me what I think or thought they were going to do.

Rocket science? I don't think so.:)

Much love,
Joseph

Don't Fit In?

Ok, more personal stuff.

I have mentioned this before that at times I just don’t sense I fit. There are times that I feel I’m operating at a different level than people that in my current community. I’m over 50 years of age, but don’t have hardy anything in common with people of my age. The community I most associate with are in their 20s, 30s and early 40s. I speak their language. When it comes to Yoga, I’m just as skilled as they are – except for the extra flexible females. We pretty much listen to the same music. We are comfortable with each other. We accept each other and without judgment and so forth.

In conclusion of the matter, I need to not look at things and see the possibilities of sadness and despair. I need to see the other options such as possibilities of joy, fun, and life’s abundance. I’m thinking the more creative I can be, the more possibilities I can see. I must trust that where I am is where I’m supposed to be!

Much love,
Joseph
