It's Time To Go Back To Our First Love!

When we are consumed by problems— stressed out about life, family, job, and things going on in the world — we actually display the belief that we think the circumstances are more important than to seek a more intimate relationship with our Creator.

In other words, that we have a “right” to not pray, not meditate, not sit still, not seek wisdom, and not spend quality time in the presence of our Creator because of the magnitude of responsibilities and situations. We should not be so ignorant to forget that life is all about God and not about us at all. It's time to go back to our first love.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

Thought For Today - 9/22/10

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

I am more determined today to be consistent in living for Jesus! No matter what others are and will do, I will remain in living for Jesus!

I'm determine to stay and stand on His Word (the Bible) every day. Jesus said if we would continue in His Word, then we would be His disciples. He said if we would continue, we would know the truth and that truth would make us free (John 8:31-32). There's a revelation of God that comes from consistency that the inconsistent person will never see.

You too, determine today to be consistent. Don't try to base today on yesterday's Bible study. Base today on today's Bible study. Start with the Word today, stay on the Word all day, and end the day with the Word. Then tomorrow get up and do it all again!

Again, no matter what others will or are doing, there is power in constant consistency. As for me I serve Jesus Christ!

Much love,
Joseph

A Quote

I received this from a friend the other day and thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy. Thanks so much Lynn!

Much love,
Joseph

"Joseph,

A friend sent this to me and I thought you might enjoy sending it to the strong, important women in your life…..

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says . . . "Oh Crap, She's up!"

(reference: Paul encouraged Jesus' followers in Ephesians....he said, "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes".)

No Fear Here

Now is the time to “NOT FEAR!” I know many things are going on in the world, our country and even our state. Again, I repeat – now is the time to “NOT FEAR!”

In the midst of the world, our country and state, including our own personal daily challenges – you can live a life – full of peace and free from fear. God is a loving God. The world system was build to fail (we see that more clearly now) and keep you in lack. God’s system will always reign and there will always be plenty in it.

God sees the big picture. He sees you and me – the things we are challenge with up close and personal. Jesus said “He came to give us the ability to have and enjoy life – to the fullness – until it overflows – abundance.”

This means we can live without fear. Fear is all around us. But, you don’t have to buy into it or accept it.

As believers in Christ – use your authority TODAY! Take the authority that Jesus gave you over fear, over lack, over poverty and over sickness. Jesus gave us His name to use to cast all fear out of our lives!

Search The Word (the Bible). It is God personally speaking to you and me. There you will find peace and rest. One scripture comes to mind is Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you, don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Much love,
Joseph

Forgiveness

What I am sharing with you is spiritual truth. It is totally contrary to the world’s way of thinking and goes against the grain of human behavior. To live and walk in forgiveness, you will have to resist pride. At times, you will have to go to your brother (sister, friend, neighbor, etc.) and ask his forgiveness. You will have to forgive him, even though every ounce of your being wants to strike out against him or her.

You will have to forgive others, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you. But remember, you cannot make it without God’s forgiveness. You cannot have His forgiveness unless you forgive.

Forgiveness requires an act of your will. You cannot depend on your feelings. Most of the time, you will have to forgive—not because you feel like it—but simply because the God states you must.

Make it your goal to develop and maintain an attitude of forgiveness. See that you keep your heart clean before God. Be quick to say you apologize (and mean it) when you are faced with opportunities for friction. Don’t allow darkness any place in your life.

God’s love is the most powerful force in existence. Darkness knows that. It knows what the love of God can do and the tremendous power that lies in forgiveness.

A revelation of the love walk and forgiveness in our spirits allows that power – power of God’s love to flow. Make the quality decision today to commit yourself to walk in God’s love and forgiveness. I guarantee…you will never be the same.

Much love,
Joseph
