Getting God's direction clear in your spirit is what will carry you through to victory when trials come your way. If you don't know for sure what God's will is for you concerning a particular matter, you could be easily swayed by adverse and contrary circumstances.
If you don't have God's direction clear in your spirit and you make a decision anyway, you could waste a lot of time wavering back and forth in fear of wondering if you missed God.
Without the knowledge of God's will fixed firmly in your spirit, you will ride the waves of circumstances, so to speak, up one day and down the next. And you will eventually get off course, because you will be led by natural circumstances rather than the leading of the Holy Spirit in your spirit.
Knowing God's will in your spirit is your anchor to keep you on course no matter what comes against you!
