It is just as wrong to be unwilling to forgive yourself as it is to be unwilling to forgive others. Failure to forgive others and yourself and forget the mistakes of the past will hinder you from receiving from God, from growing spiritually, and from being what God wants you to be!
Many Christians are unwilling to forgive themselves for mistakes of the past - for their disobedience to God and His will. Some Christians even try to punish themselves by giving up on the dream God has put in their heart to fulfill. Look, it is not what mistakes you have made in the past that counts; it is what you do afterward that counts with God!
No matter how you may have disobeyed God in the past, God wants you to be obedient to His Word and His will for your life today. As you surrender to God's holy written Word and to His Master Plan for your life, you will reap great benefits. In the long run, it will never cost you to obey God. It always pays!
Much love,
Joseph
