Thought For Today - 3/11/09

If you can't imagine a thing you can't believe it. If you can't believe it you can't say it. If you can't say it, it will not come to pass!

Now, I didn't say CANNOT IMAGINE. You can. But, you need to control it! You can imagine for example - seeing yourself losing your job, losing your home, losing your health and losing your life before you turn 50 years old. You worry or mediate on it until you believe it. Then, you say it, and say it, and worry, and say it some more, until it comes to pass. And then you say "Why does this kind of thing always happen to me?"

As believers of Christ - we have the advantage and it is found in the Word. Look at 2 Corinthians 10:3-5:

Verse 3, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
Verse 4, (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Verse 5, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Do what to imaginations that rise up against what you know God's Word says? Cast them down! And, put them in prison so they can never take root and spoil your faith. You know what the Word says, and you are committed to it.

Your eyes are fixed on the TRUTH. GOD IS TRUTH! "My needs are met according to His riches in glory!"

Now the more you keep looking at it, at Jesus, at your merciful, heavenly, rich Father, the stronger your imagination - or your inner image and purpose becomes. That's the mighty power in verse 4. It is no longer just your imagination anymore. It is a blueprint for faith. Hope! Now watch LOVE bring it to pass.
