Patience is the difference between trying and doing. It's the difference between fishing and catching fish. It's the difference between attempting to walk by faith and succeeding.

Setting aside time to communicate with God at least once a day creates a ritual that becomes second nature over time.

Our spirits will begin to settle with less effort the more we communicate with God.

Ultimately, the communication with God allows us to be increasingly more open so that we can perceive the world as the fresh offering it is, free of yesterday’s mental clutter and just walk in Love.

Stay calm and focused on the Word in the face of adversity. Darkness puts strong pressure of you to faint and give up. There is no middle ground. When it comes to standing on the Word you are either on or off.

When situations appear contrary to what the Word promises, you must take a firm stand in faith and say, "I will not succumb to pressure. I am moved by nothing except the Word of God."

Patience has no fear because it knows that God's Word has never failed. Patience knows that when faith is exercised to receive a promise from the Word, success is inevitable.

Thought For Today - 4/25/10

















If you maintain a living connection with God, you will walk in love and joy. You will walk in forgiveness. You will keep your flesh in subjection to your spirit.

So what exactly is a living connection with God? It simply means keeping the lines of communication open between the two of you. It means going about your daily activities in such a way that you are always available to hear from heaven.

Just think, the real key to consistent victory is just one thing! You don’t have to memorize a list of dos and don’ts.

All you have to do is keep that flow of continual living contact with God. He’s continually speaking words to our hearts by the Holy Spirit who lives within us.

Keep your ear tuned to His frequency. Keep your heart lined up with His Word. Just keep the line open!

The person who refuses to love is missing out on the very best God has to offer. Don't you miss out on any of it. Release love every moment into every situation, every prayer and every thought, until it totally consumes your life.

Go for it! It will strengthen you and cast out every fear that has robbed you of God’s greater blessings. It will drive darkness out of your affairs and set you free from every torment of it.

Begin to love others with the love of God. If it seems too hard, remember, once you start releasing love into a situation, God becomes responsible for its success.

Love never fails, and God never fails! So love your way to success!

If we actually understood the blessing that walking in love brings, we would no be so willing to abandon it when we encounter pressure or aggravation.

If we knew, for example, that becoming fretful or resentful was going to cost us a great, supernatural revelation, we might be more apt to set those unloving attitudes aside.

Need power in your life today? Need harmony in your family, in your marriage and among your children? Then walk in love. Walk in love at all costs. Walk in love and decide that for your life, love is a command, not an option.

Home is often the most difficult place to be loving. I think that is because we do no have our guard up when we are at home for the most part. We are not worrying about our reputation or trying to impress anyone. At home, nothing will stop you from being selfish — except your commitment to walk in the love of God.

And, do not be fooled into thinking it does not matter how you act at home. It matters a great deal.

Today make the commitment to keep love in your home. Learn to live a lifestyle of agreement with your spouse and your children. See to it that your prayers prevail by being in harmony with the members of your family.

Choose today to yield only to love. Choose to to walk in love!

Hearing from God is the most important thing in your whole life! That’s because you can never come up with a problem too big for Him to solve.

The important thing to remember, however, is that you can not turn from receiving God's direction on and off like a water faucet. You have got to make a lifestyle of it.

If you want to be sure that His guidance will be there for you when the crisis hits, you need to start listening for His guidance now!

Learn to seek His wisdom, to listen for His instructions on the little, everyday matters of life. That way, when the big challenges come, you will be ready. You will be in the habit of hearing from Him.

Thought For Today - 4/20/10















You have prayed the prayer of faith. You believe you have received the answer. You are confessing the Word. You are standing on God’s promise. You are expecting a miracle.

Things didn't get better - but worse.

Now all you can think about is how tired you are, how fed up you are with waiting for your answer to come, etc. You’ve had it with this situation and want to quit!

Well, you are not alone. Everyone who has ever walked by faith has gone through some similar things - tough times. Maybe those times have tripped you up in the past. Darkness is trying to put pressure on you into letting go of your faith.

There is a force so powerful, it can carry you through those hard times in triumph. It is a force so dynamic, darkness cannot stop it. It is a force that comes from the heart and character of God Himself, and it will take you from here to victory...every time. It’s the force of patience.

Patience is the force that keeps you from fainting under pressure. It is the quality that does not surrender to circumstances or succumb under trial.

God didn’t give you just any old type of patience, either. He imparted to you His very own patience. God has what it takes to get through hard times. He has the power to persevere until circumstances line up with His Word. Because you are born of His Spirit, you have that power too!

I know that the pressure is on, and it can be intense. Let patience see you through it all!

Thought For Today - 4/19/10














In my opinion, Christianity in a way that is not about rules or binding, but about a journey of faith and the experience of God.

“Spirituality” and “spiritual path” are not adequate to the task, but they are a starting place. They offer me the possibility to describe faith in terms of relationship with God and others; to answer the need inside each of us that presents itself more readily in questions than answers.

We live in a time that some call post-Christian. People have given up on legalistic, controlling religion. They have also begun to give up on the materialism and licence with which they replaced it, as they see that it does not meet their needs.

They flock to the “Body, Mind and Spirit” section of bookshops, and to talks on alternative practices because they are trying to find a way to feed their spiritual side. They are not flocking to the Church, because they do not see that we have anything to offer them.

I'm willing to change my presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these individuals! At all costs, we can't let them get away! What about you?

You can walk in faith consistently through 10 trials that come your way and experience great success. Yet on the 11th one, if you neglect to act on the Word of God (the Bible), you’ll fail.

Although the string of victories in your past is a wonderful thing, it’s what you do today that will get you through today’s test or trial.

So set your heart and mind on doing what the Word says...in every situation. Believe you receive when you pray...and enjoy the victory!

Whatever your problem, whatever your desire, take it to the Lord in prayer. There the answer awaits you!

Make your prayer in the stillness of the night and God will answer in the heat and work of the day. When you have made your prayer, use Psalm 6:9 (Amplified Bible), "The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord receives my prayer."

And know in your heart the answer will be forthcoming. So, rest in the Lord!

Regarding healing of the heart, you can come to believe either that nothing is easier or that nothing is more complicated.

Everything in and about our lives runs off the energy of our hearts. Many will experience, including myself the term "break our hearts." But, regardless of how we feel on this, our choice is still the same: What will we do with the pain?

Will you use it as an excuse to give more fear authority over you, or will you release the authority over to an act of forgiveness?

In knowing God, you will find the path to forgiveness and be able to move forward in His Love - His Divine Power!

I felt I would share this with you today. It is found in Matthew 6:25-33 (NIV). Enjoy!

Verse 25
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Verse 26
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Verse 27
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Verse 28
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Verse 29
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

Verse 30
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Again and again, the challenges I have faced caused me to ask, "What is God's will for my life?" I often thought of God's will for me as a task, a job, a means of accumulating power for myself.

But in truth, God's will will lead us primarily to learn more about the nature of His Spirit and of Him!

I know make no judgments. I trust the unscheduled events in my life as a form of spiritual direction. I have the courage to make the choices I need to make. I accept what I cannot change. And, I have the wisdom to know the difference.

Thought For Today - 4/12/10














I was so swamped with work, family, and social obligations for several years. The the first thing I let slipped from my to-do list was my personal Yoga practice.

Many people including myself bump their home practice or weekly Yoga class to make time for duties that seem more time-sensitive. I always thought I could unroll my mat later, when my schedule opens up, right?

Well, the problem was, during my busiest times is when I needed Yoga to help me unwind and de-stress. Later didn't come around that often. And I was not doing myself or my (to-do list) any favors by putting off a practice that nourishes and invigorates me.

I actually gave up a few classes where I can now practice with my teacher a couple of times a week. And, just in case you were like me thinking "What about the income not being generated if I'm taking 2-3 classes of Yoga per week instead of working?" God will provide!:)

Thought For Today - 4/11/10













I often tell students during class that their Yoga mat is a mirror. The things that are going on in their lives turn up on their mats. It can take some time for them to see the suffering and challenging they are going through is caused by their thoughts about the world and life, rather than the love of God.

There will be a length of time of letting go of these thoughts. But stay the course, stay on your mat! If you want the outside to change, you are going to have to change your inside - your thinking. More to the point, we will have to change and get rid of the chronic fears, prejudices and desires just to name a few.

I have used my personal Yoga mat many times to see the situation(s) in my life in action and to apply the principles of Yoga to overcome them. You too, can do the same.:)

I have taken the time to rediscover who I am apart from the roles that I have. If, you have like many, have denied your authenticity for a long while, you may find it challenging to separate your true identity from the identity you have created to cope with the world around you.

Once I did find this authentic self, I was overcome by a wonderful sense of wholeness as I reconcile my spiritual aspect and my physical aspect, as well as my inner - and outer-world personas.

As you gradually adjust to this developing unity, your role as a being of light will reveal itself to you, and you will discover that you have a marvelous destiny to fulfill.

God does have a Master Plan for your life!

Thought For Today - 4/8/10














Since I have been practicing Yoga going on six years (very short time) my relationship have been transformed. I learned to look at myself, including the parts of me that was not growing.:)

After learning to do this physically, with discomfort in an asana, I was able to do this emotionally. In fact, one of the emotional things I had to rid myself of was the idea of a soul mate.

I found the very term “suggests there is another half who was going to complete me.” However, becoming more spiritual and my relationship with God sky rocketing, the thing that became most important to me was to be free and to love others, not to be looking for love.

I know now because I am content without a soul mate, now she just might be easy to find.:) I believe when I let go of the desire for someone to complete me, only then can I be truly open to what’s right for me.

I have been in relationships where communication was a major problem. From my personal experience, when I see relationships where individuals are listened to and understood, I count those individuals blessed because I know how rare that experience is.

I now reserve my most intimate self for the people who co-create an open space where I feel free to express myself and listen without judgment. These relationships, which I now thrive on open communication, can mean the difference between existential loneliness and a deep sense of belonging for me.

We all long to feel heard, understood, and loved, and clear communication makes this possible.

Words are very, very powerful. The Bible states that they have "life and death" in them. The more conscious we become of the words we speak, the more we will deepen our relationship to the words.

For me personally I want to only speak words that agree with the teaching of Jesus. From this, I am able to speak from a place of actually feeling and knowing what I am saying.

Words are not abstract, disconnected entities used only to convey meaning; they are powerful transmitters of feeling and have actions or results. For the next few days, try this - practice noticing how the words you say and hear, affect your body and your emotional state.

Notice how the different communication styles of the people in your life make you feel. Also, watch closely to see how your own words come out and what affect they have on the people around you.

Again, words have "life and death."

Many people including myself have had one time or another made promises and some were kept while others were not.

Individuals who keep their promises are regarded as people of integrity, while those who don’t keep their promises are regarded as people who at best can’t be taken seriously and at worst can’t be trusted.

Consider this - our words are powerful! We should not use them haphazardly or unconsciously, creating expectations that are never fulfilled, leaving disappointment and distrust in our wake.

If this has happen to you, do as I did repent and ask forgiveness from God and the individuals you made the promises to. Then, move forward trusting God to direct your path in not allowing this to happen again.

Guys, getting rid of bitter feelings can be as simple as truly forgiving and moving on. Even when your bitterness has no concrete object, you can forgive situations too, which includes people.

The healing may be challenging but will be easier if you remind yourself that you are the only entity truly affected by your emotional state.

In time, you will discover that letting go of your bitterness frees you to initiate the healing process and allows you to once again celebrate the possibility of the more wonderful life you deserve, which also includes walking in the love of God.

Your confession every morning should be, "I do not have a care in this world because I've cast every one of them onto my Lord."

Remember, though, God will not take your cares away from you. You have to give them to Him. Then you have to replace those worries with the Word of God.

You are the one who has to keep your thoughts under control. But you can do it. The Greater One dwells within you. He is able to put you over. Commit to it. You'll never have to worry again.

Thought For Today - 4/1/10














If depression has put you into a spiritual nosedive, all you have to do to break out of it is to get your eyes off the past and onto your future. A future that's been guaranteed by God through the exceedingly great and precious promises in His Word.

Chances are, that won't come easily to you at first. Your mind has probably had years of practice in focusing on the past.

But, don't give into the past! Purposely meditate on the Word of God. Replace thoughts of the past with scriptural promises about your future and be diligent about it. Then, you will begin to see yourself as God sees you - a child of God, instead something you will never be.
