My Weekend - November 29 - 30

Hey, I trust everyone had a great, safe and prosperous weekend. I want to share a couple of important things that happen this weekend.

Saturday Afternoon:
I spent a little time with one of 24HF members who attends Yoga classes I teach. She is leaving Texas – moving to LA as Director of Operations for the company she works for – SkinzWraps, Inc.

We had a great lunch at Grand Lux Café at the Galleria in Dallas, TX. The food was amazing! With the little time I spent with Tamara, I found her to be a very loving, caring and compassionate person. Her personality matched with her skills has set her far and above any competition in her current field of work or any organization that she could work for. She has the nature that allows her to adapt to any situation and make it turn out for the best for all parties involved.

Please visit the following websites for additional information regarding Tamara’s company.

Main site http://www.skinzwraps.com/

About SkinzWraps: SkinzWraps is the leading vehicle wrap company in the industry offering award winning design, high definition printing, and expert installation.

SkinzWraps pioneered the commercial vehicle wrap over six years ago and continues to push that envelope today. SkinzWraps has the experience and credibility to service your needs.

I wish her the best in all of her endeavors. My prayers are with her and I speak God’s blessing upon everything she touches.

Sunday Afternoon:
I was so honor to attend “The Light in the Piazza” at Theatre Three in Dallas. A student of Yoga who attends classes I teach at 24HF was a member of the cast. I will admit I was very impressed by her (Carrie) performance. She is full of talent and has many, many Theatre Three credits and metroplex appearances under her belt.

The musical was set in the 1950’s and you will just have to see it next time around. Sunday, November 30 was the last showing. But, let me assure you – you will fall in love with this Broadway musical!

I am so blessed to be in position to share and teach the practice of Yoga with so many gifted, talent and unique individuals that attend classes I teach. Each and everyone are special to me and I consider it such a privilege from God if only for a short while they are with me in class.

I thank God for Carrie, her gift of acting, her passion for the theatre and her love of Yoga. I pray and speak God’s blessing over her and her career.

Everyone have a great, prosperous and safe week!

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend - 10/31/08

My weekend was quiet and challenging mentally/spiritually. For the past several months – I have been challenged mentally and spiritually with situations and circumstances involving my life.

Some of you reading this blog may have or are currently experiencing challenges in your life. Some of you may have hit rock bottom while others are near. Regarding myself, I can only say “I’m on my way up.”

I know that God has a plan for me. But, I must have faith that God does have a plan for me. I have been under so much pressure and spiritual attacks for the past several months, I had begun to grow stiff spiritually and got anxious. But, through faith, I had to regain my confidence that God was, is and will always be in control.

I had to and will continue to believe the following: (1) God has a perfect plan for my life. (2) I will receive God’s plan for my life by faith – not wavering – sight unseen. (3) I know God’s plan will first come out of the spiritual realm and manifest itself in the nature. (4) I do have the ability to hear God’s perfect plan for my life. (5) I will be obedient to God’s perfect plan for my life. Whatever He tells me to do – that I will do!

I have asked God for forgiveness for sins of omission and commission regarding me. I know God heard my prayer and I receive His forgiveness and that He will give back (restore) my first love with Him.

I pray the same for you and that He would give us our nation back!

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 10/25/08

In summary my weekend was good.

Saturday, I took a Yoga class at Yoga Island in Flower Mound and taught two Yoga class at 24HF – Carrollton (Trinity/Marsh) and Southlake. Afterward, spend over two hours giving a private session to eight Yoga students. One of the students won a raffle for the private session. I donated a free two-hour session for a charity fundraiser they had several weeks ago.

Sunday, I attended church in Arlington, spent a few hours with friends and family, then back home to Carrollton. Got ready for another week.

Here is my prayer for you this week . . .

"Father, I pray over the individuals you have brought into my life – those that I’m responsible for and to. I pray they will have a prosperous week. I thank You that You liberally supply and fill to the fullest measure every need they have this week.

I pray You will make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing, come to them in abundance so that they are always, under all circumstances and whatever the need, totally self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support.

Father, I thank You that Your angels are free to minister for them and bring in the necessary finances so that they can continue provide for their families and Your work.

I pray they have no lack and they want for nothing. Abundance is theirs. Success is theirs. Your blessings are theirs. I thank You for doing this for me. Amen
."

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 10/17/08

Hey, here is my weekend summary . . .

I attended an amazing Yoga workshop this weekend (Friday 1pm – Sunday 12noon). The workshop was conducted by Beryl Bender Birch. I met Beryl a couple of years ago at another workshop she conducted in Dallas and just fell in love with her and her style of Yoga (Astanga Yoga) teaching. Check out her website for additional information:
http://www.power-yoga.com/Home/tabid/114/Default.aspx

Kendall Inman – a good friend of mines, hosted the workshop. Check out her website for upcoming Yoga events:
http://www.livingyogadallas.com/upcoming.html

I trust your weekend was safe and prosperous.

My prayer for you this week is . . .

“You will spend time with God (reading His Word, meditating on His Word, praying His Word) this week. That your spirit – your inner being (the real you) will be fed. That you will remember that every trouble, problem, or circumstance you are facing, God has a promise in His Word to cover it. That you will know that God has the final authority over the trouble, problem or circumstance.”

Let this be the best week that you have had yet in 2008!

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 10/10/08

My weekend was safe and prosperous. I’m led to share this prayer for you this week . . .

"Father God, I bring all the ones that you have assigned to me (those I'm responsible to and for) before You today. I take authority over darkness and come against it’s operation in their lives. I ask You to send the perfect laborers into their paths to minister to them the word of faith.

I pray that their eyes of understanding be enlightened that they may know how rich is Your inheritance in their lives, and that they may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, walking fully pleasing to You, increasing in the knowledge of God.

Father, I pray that these dear ones you have assigned to me (those I'm responsible to and for) will be rooted and built up in Jesus, established in faith. I am confident that He who began a good work in their life will continue until the day of Jesus Christ.

Father God, I know You heard my prayer. I know that I have the request that I ask. Thank You in Jesus’ Name.
"

Have a blessed week.

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 10/3/08

I trust you all had a safe and wonderful weekend. My weekend consisted of lots of things. So, I'm only going to focus on one thing in this weekend blog.

This weekend was another opportunity for me to practice living what I preach/teach. Friday - My youngest son - David had an operation. The operation was successful and David is doing well. He was full of cheer through out the entire weekend.

The enemy wanted me and other family members to worry regarding David's operation. Worrying doesn't solve any problems. Worrying cannot and will not stop adversity. Worrying can take away your joy! Our worries can be a penalty, a form of not letting ourselves off the hook, not loving ourselves and not trusting ourselves. Worrying can bring more trouble your way.

We must trust God in all situations. When we put our trust in Him (God), we then let go of worrying or should I say fear.

David is doing fine. I want to thank those of you for your prayers regarding David and our family.

Have a safe and great week!

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 9/26/08

My weekend was great. Had a great Friday night class at 24HF – Mockingbird/Greenville location.

Saturday morning – took a Yoga class for myself at Yoga Island in Flower Mound. Good class. Taught 11am 24HF Carrollton (Trinity/Marsh) and 1pm 24HF Southlake Yoga class. Both classes were great, but Carrollton had more energy.

Taught the one-year anniversary Yoga class for Lululemon Store in Highland Village (Flower Mound location) from 6-7pm. Over 25 people attended the outdoor class with lots of on-lookers. Afterward, hung out at the store for great food and fellowship with customers and staff from the store.

Sunday – didn't attend church due to had a severe allergy attack. Taught 4-5pm Yoga class at Twist Yoga (subbing for another instructor). 5:45- 7pm taught my first Yoga session with a roller derby league – called Assassination City (www.acderby.com) in Mesquite. I really enjoyed working with the team.

I trust your weekend was properous and blessed.

Much love,

Weekend of - 9/19/08

Hey, my weekend was good.

Friday Evening
I taught the 6:30pm Yoga class at the 24HF Mockingbird/Greenville location in Dallas. Only a few students (around 23) showed for class. The class was good - but low key. Afterward, I had a wonderful dinner at Cafe` Express in Southlake with two of my favorite Yoga students (Casey & Tricia) who attend classes I teach at 24HF. This was our first ottering, but it seem as if we knew each other long before.

Saturday
I took a Yoga class for myself at Yoga Island (www.yogaisland.com) that morning at 9am. Afterward, taught the 11am Yoga class (24HF - Carrollton) and 1pm class (Southlake). Both classes were great. I was able to show (just one time) Casey and Tricia how to come into the "Scorpion Pose - Vrschikasana." Pose is pictured below. These ladies have an amazing Yoga practice!

Sunday
Went to 9am church service in Arlington. Taught a special 1pm Yoga class at 24HF - Carrollton location. 24HF was having a family/friends day. Anyone could visit any DFW area fitness center FREE for a workout which included FREE classes. There were 33 that attend this class. We had a great time.

OK, after class, did some grocery shopping (just a few items). Got home and cooked (yes, I do this every now and then - smile) some Basa fish I purchased from an Asian Market in Arlington - good stuff! Afterward, returned phone calls and emails, wrote in my journal, just chilled the rest of the night.

I trust your weekend was safe and prosperous.

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend of 9/12/08

Ok, here is my weekend report . . .

I had a great Yoga class Friday night at 6:30pm at the 24HF – Mockingbird/Greenville location. This is always a great class. Around 30 or more people show up and we have a great time doing what I call “Cocktail Yoga.”

After class, I had dinner at Café Express (Mockingbird Station location) with a dear student who travel over an hour that night to take class with me. We spent time talking about various subjects. Just had a wonderful time.

Side note - As we sat outside eating dinner – I notice I begin to feel stopped-up, noise begin to run and was beginning to not feel 100%.

After arriving home from dinner Friday night, I begin to sneeze like crazy for a couple of hours. Apparently, the storm Ike brought some stuff in the winds with him. I immediate took around 2000 mgs of vitamin C and a couple of wild oregano capsules. I wanted to write in the blog, but the sleep was really pulling at me. So, I venture off to bed.

Saturday morning was not much better for as me being 100%. I needed up taking another 2000 mgs of vitamin C. Taught the 11am class in Carrrollton (Trinity/Marsh) – 24HF and the 1pm class in Southlake – 24HF.

To my surprise one of my favorite Yoga student was at the 1pm class. She drove from North Plano to take the class. At both classes, I walked the students through crow, side crow and flying crow with the extended leg going backward. It was great!

After class, we (the student from Plano) headed to Central Market, had a late lunch and hung out for a while. I don’t see her often. When I do, we have lots to catch up on. She is a delight to be with. The sneezing started again. I managed to stay in the store long enough to purchase fruit, nuts (almonds) and B12 vitamin (methylocabalamin – dissolves under your tongue) then headed home.

Was I glad to get home, no more classes for the day – nor any privates? Due to the weather, I didn’t go to Saturday evening church services. I did some minor house chores, etc. Sat down and watched a couple of movies rented from Blockbuster.

Sunday, didn't go to church, but did watch several TV ministries. Yet, it cannot compare with being in the presence of people with similar minds (going to church). I felt much better than the previous days. Headed to gym to get in some cardio. Afterward, to friends home in Keller. The husband and wife - long time friends cooked a few meals for me that will last a few days.:) Then, to the store for a few more items and back home to settle down and got ready for the week ahead.

My prayer for you this week is "There is no situation that you have today or tomorrow that can't be fixed if you have an increase of God in your life!"

Much love,
Joseph

The Week of - 9/7/08 to 9/13/08

For this week, I decided to take a different route other than talking about my weekend (which was great). Here are my desires and prayers.

I need to hear from you. Let me know what is going on in your life. Let me know how I can help!

Following are things I’m asking God for this week:

Spiritually
Closer relationship with Him.
Strength and the desire to pray each and every day for at least 30 minutes in intercession for others.

Physically
Divine health.
I desire to be in the best health I have ever been in.
I will eat and live healthier than I have ever in my entire life.
I know that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I need my Body to be healthy to function well in this earth.
Help me to exercise properly, eat properly and sleep properly.

Mentally
Increased capacity.
Strength to study in my fields of interest and for my career.
30 minutes a day, I purpose to read in some area with a mind towards expertise and excellence.
My mind to be sharp to recognize and identify the right choices in my life and to understand quickly opportunities that He would have me seizes.

Emotionally
Peace and greater capacity to give love.
I will have fun everyday and enjoy life.
Balance when I receive information.
Sensitivity towards the needs of the people that I am responsible for and to.
Strength to rejoice with those that rejoice and to mourn with those that mourns.

Socially
Promotion and for influence.
I will help individuals realize and understand just how much God loves them and is trying to give them the desires of their hearts.
Opportunities to make a difference.
Desire to be included in the gates of my community.
Grant me inroads to decision makers and to influential discussions with policy makers.

Feel free to use any or all of the above for your life.

Much love,
Joseph

Weekend Of 8/23/08

A few notes on my weekend. It was good. I actually took a class (I was the student) at Yoga Island in Flower Mound. Great class too! I spend some time of course teaching a few Yoga classes which I always enjoy. On Saturday afternoon, I met with a friend of mines and several highly skilled Yoga instructors. My friend is opening a new Yoga studio in Dallas called Twist Power Yoga (www.twistpoweryoga.com). The studio is located at the corner of Marsh Lane and Forest Lane – next door to Sprouts. Check out their website. I’m teaching there too.

On Sunday morning, I visited a local church in North Carrollton . Later that afternoon – visited with a family who is doing mission work in Europe. This was my second gathering with them and our discussions were amazing. They are heading back the first of September to continue the work. They were only here in the States for a few weeks. One thing that came out of our discussions which was so clear - we are so blessed in America. No matter what we are facing and experiencing here - it could always be worse.

For the past several months, my heart (spirit) has been desiring to also do mission work in Europe, but especially in India. I sense a very strong pull to this country. I heard one minister say, “He wanted to go where God’s Word is hardly spoken and His light is dim in the lives of individuals.” What a powerful statement and call. I too, can relate to that statement.

OK, we are starting a new week. Many students are returning to school, college, etc. and some for the first time. So, there will be opportunities for offense to come into play. Lets’ put LOVE to work this week. Select a problem. Put LOVE (God) to work on it. Take God (LOVE) as your partner in your plan to serve and resolve the problem. You will not fail. You will have the answer!

I trust all will have a safe and prosperous week.

Much love,
Joseph
