Thought For Today (Personal) 7/31/10

Regardless of whether students stay for the entire class I teach or leave within 5 minutes of the class (to intense I have been told), I want them to understand that both God and I love and believe in them!

The goal of my teaching has always been to demonstrate the love of Jesus, not to make people feel like they now owe it to me to come to class.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/30/10

Here is what I discovered. Each student that attend classes I teach has a family member or friend with needs, ready to be helped. As I serve my way into these student's lives, their world is opened up to me, along with more opportunities to demonstrate the love of God.

The next thing I knew, there were 50 students attending classes I teach, then 75, and the number is still growing. I'm the same, but the classes grew because I am committed to serving people of the classes I teach one by one.

I know now this kind of heart to generously bless others is the perfect catalyst for showing the love of God!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/29/10

With what God has told and commissioned me to do as a Yoga teacher - I know my mission. I have my mandate.

I know there may be some challenges ahead, but I am determined to succeed! Many students that attend classes I teach have given up on God.

I know God has called me to love and help the poor in spirit and the hurting that attend classes I teach. I will not throw in the towel because of challenges.

I will not care about the numbers; I will simply do my part to love and serve the students that attend and leave the growth up to God.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/28/10

I have a clear mission to answer cries of the poor in spirit, the ones hurting emotionally and the forgotten. I am ready to reach out to students in their cities, in their nations, and throughout the world!

I have aimed myself at initiating change, a change by bringing healing to a hurting world and by loving people to God. A simple act of kindness.

I believe if I can lead a Yoga class with a heartbeat to love one another by serving others, something amazing will happen. And, to be totally honest, I have no idea just how far God will take me.

There is no perfect way for anything God calls me to do. But, I'm always exciting to pursue my destiny in Him!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/27/10

My hope is that through my teaching of Yoga, my personal experience with God as an ongoing journey that students attending classes I teach will be awakened to see the world from a new perspective that they will wake up in the morning and say "How can I serve someone in my life today? How can I reach out and love those who I see next door or on the job?"

In my teaching I'm actively pursuing those that feel unloved and forgotten - to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. I will use words if needed!

I will serve and show students the hope that can come only from God. This is serving. I have seen and about to see God touch the lives of students in ways I never dreamed possible!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/26/10

Many times in the classes I teach I cry out to students to take notice of the person coming in a few minutes late and there is no room, but that they will make room.

My words are let's do whatever it takes - no matter if I have to stop the class. We must not turn away anyone! There are times I run out the door to bring students in because they thought no room was available for them in class.

Just as God tells me He love me, He cares about me. But God not only sees me, but beyond me as well. This is how I feel when it comes to teaching Yoga. All students are precious to me! I don't want one to not be able to attend classes I teach.

I may never know how important it was for in that one time room was made for that student that it changed their life inside/out.

God is counting on me to make the difference in the lives of students attending classes I teach.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today (Personal) 7/25/10

When it comes to teaching Yoga, I will push, inspire and challenge students to be the best they can ever be inside and outside of the class room. And this is what I will do to you and you and you when you come to the classes I teach!

I would like to consider myself maybe somewhat a radical, generous and selfless, Love(God) - minded Yoga instructor. I believe this is what makes me different.

I have been told that my eyes reveal my heart for people. One moment, you can see the passion as I explain how Yoga has made a difference in my life and the lives of the many, many, many students that have come cross my path of teaching.

Then, you might see tears in my eyes as I mention how so many students that come to class - who just need a touch, a hug, from a human being. I am given the privilege to touch and give them a hug. What a blessing!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/24/10

We should not have to choose between being in the flow of God's love and having a successful career.

When we remember who we really are, we will then embrace our connection with God and His love and with all life.

Once we change our thought pattern of work from self-centered ambition to Love-centered service, we will then begin to experience the flow of Divine revelation.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/23/10

As I have and so will you encounter circumstances that will cause us to change our beliefs and come closer to truth. We will then mature in our beliefs, step by step, experience by experience.

As we move forward we will let go of perceptions that are untrue. Only then can we become vessels of God's love.

Love you!
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/22/10

You do not have to go and live your life in an ashram to develop a meditation practice. You can receive spiritual guidance in the privacy of your of your home.

It's pretty simple, begin to believe in yourself, develop a relationship with God, expect healing to come (emotionally, spiritually and maybe even physically).

Expect your self-esteem and personal power begin to grow. Most importantly, your faith will grow which is vital for managing the challenges you have everyday.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/21/10

Once you come into "truth" you can no longer get away with kidding yourself. My heart goes out to people who are yet working hard to release negative attitudes and painful memories.

They often ask me "How to do it?" I tell them there is no easy way out, but there is a simple way out - "just let go."

Let go of how they thought their life should be and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into them.

I had to do the same.:)

Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/20/10

I come in contact with so many people struggling to find their way, but are confused as they wait. Many are eager to allow God to direct their lives, yet they are tormented by fear that they will lose all control of their lives. They don't want to surrender.

So, they are in a waiting position until they come to a decision to release that fear and embrace the truth that "all will be well." Maybe, the "all will be well" is not their definition of truth, but it is God's!

"All will be well!"

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/19/20

As I see my teaching of Yoga as a ministry. I first look at each class I teach that the end result of that class will bring glory to God.

I also look at each class as an opportunity for students to understand and experience the love of God (actions and sometimes I do use words). I always teach love until they experience it!

The end result and my desire is for each student to able to face whatever challenges await them and watch what Love (God) will do in and through them.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/18/10

There will be situation where you don't know what to do - you can't figure it out. You ask everyone you know, you get 100 different answers and end up more confused than when you started.

This is the time to look on the inside. There is a Divine presence inside of you who already knew what to do before you ever discovered you have a situation you could not handle.

Get quiet and look inside to the One (God) living inside you and begin to pray. Start a meditation practice - this is what getting quiet and looking inside really is.

There is so much noise and busyness in the world. This is to distract you. You must get still, set quiet, don't say a word, don't do anything, until you begin to hear and see yourself with the solution to the situation.

Now, you might not get the answer or see it the first hour, day or month, but keep believing, meditating and looking for it. It will come up in you. You will hear the answer. You will see the power of God release.

I speak from experience.:)

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/16/10

Hey, saw a long time friend in the store the other day. He is a fireman for DFW Airport.

I met him in 1996 or 1997 at 24HF. We both have seen many things and have many similar experiences.

One thing he said that day during our conversation was that what matter to him that morning didn't matter to him that afternoon.

We live in the moment. All we have is now. But we do plan for the future.

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/15/10

This is a fact. I have said this many, many times to others and to classes I teach. Show me your friends and I will show you your future.

If the people you associate with are not moving forward in life, they are moving backward. Which means you too, are not moving forward (because of your association). No such thing as standing still when it comes to life.

Let the transformation begin today. Find people who are moving forward in life. In reality, find God's will and plan for your life. Then, find people who are on the same or similar path.

Then, ask God to change your desire to move forward in His Master Plan for your life.

I did!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/14/10

I found out through personal experience making a decision took me into reality. Then, God was able to help me move forward in that reality.

We are not burdens to God. He is longing and waiting for us to make decisions about Him!

I will make decisions on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy!

Another thing, now making decisions is easy and no longer do I feel I'm a burden to God. Man, life is great to me!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/13/10

I will flow with God. I will allow myself to just go with His flow. He knows better than I and it's better to go with what you know - what you know what is true for you!

I trust God. I trust myself to trust God. His guidance will lead me down the right path. And, His plan for my life is good, full of peace, full of love!

Joseph

Quick to the point, darkness does not care where you are today. Darkness wants to prevent or keep you from moving forward!

Thought For Today - 7/11/10

God is love and Love is God.

I use to believe there was no love in my life. But, finding out that was not the problem. The problem was I didn't understand what love was until I learn who God was.

After learning who God was I was then able to know love. I tell others life is a lesson and from my learning and understand - the lessons are all about Love.

Much love,
Joseph

A new journey has appeared in my life. I'm learning to trust my emotions. Yes, all of them regarding this new journey.

I'm on the right path for my life. My emotions have led me here. My heart is in this journey. I'm going to let it flow freely. I'm moving into what Love has prepared for me. It has been in my heart all along.

In conclusion, emotions are important - very important. I just had to recognize and trust them!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/9/10

I have learned from experience that crying will never move God to do anything for me. God only honors faith. So, I have to take a stand on faith (what the promises of God are).

I then rejoice and give God praise for my deliverance. You too, can be sure God will do the same for you and bring you through any storm in your life!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/8/10

Remember, taking offense never comes from God. God says we are to be rooted and grounded in love. So reject those feelings of offense.

Give yourself to that person in love and in prayer. You will be able to walk right on through that situation without ever stumbling at all!

Much love,
Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/3/10

If you really want to tap into the riches of God, make up your mind to be a blessing to others, and before you know it, you will be receiving more from God than you ever dreamed.

This is what has happen to me! I decided years ago to be a giver. I developed a life-style of giving. Today, I literally "live to give."

And, I don't mind telling you, God dumps blessings on me by the truckload!

God will do the same for you too! If you will lay down your time, money and love for those who need it. Become a giver and God will take pleasure in prospering you!

Much love,
Joseph

A mind that’s not under the influence of God is in opposition to Him. It always goes contrary to His ways.

When you change your mind, you change your choices — and that changes everything. Allow the God to transform the way you think. Allow Him to change your mind!

Joseph

Thought For Today - 7/1/10

God is near you and me. He will come near to you and me as we go near to Him. In other words, God is responsive to you and me and will answer when we call.

I can not lean on the government, relatives or anyone else. I have to trust God to sustain me and to watch over me at all time.

The problems may be there, but God is there too! And He ALWAYS WINS!

Much love,
Joseph
